(1/4/2012) As a transgender woman, it causes issues when I refer to myself as a “brony”. I would really love a more inclusive term.In my head, “brony” is gender-neutral.
As another transgender woman with the same issue… it doesn’t really matter what it is in your head. What matters is that it causes us distress, because we can’t see it as anything other than a gendered term uncomfortably dissonant with our self-identification.
