professorderpy: I didn’t go to my high school graduation because it was expensive and I hated high school with a burning passion. I didn’t go to my graduation because I was only in High School for less than a year. It was hugely stressful, plus they outright violated my IEP guaranteeing computer access because I installed Nethack to play during breaks or lunch, and the computer illiterates who were in charge of their network decided, based solely on the name, that it was a tool for “hacking the net.” I tried doing homeschooling… but it didn’t quite work out. Then we discovered the entrance exam for that homeschooling program was equivalent to the GED — or possibly an even fancier California version thereof that counts as a graduation with honors. So… yeah. No High School. Woo!
